Inside the UAP Disclosure Battle: Congress, Secrecy, and the Push for Public Confirmation

One of the things I discussed in the Global 2026 Forecast Report was this question: what if the most important story of our time is not just hidden, but actively prevented from being told? That is the big issue.

So we’re going to explore the idea that UAP secrecy is not just a fringe issue, but a structural one touching national security, governance, and humanity’s place in the world. We’re not just asking what UAPs are. We’re asking who controls the information, and why it matters now.

So we’re going to go into some recent developments that just occurred. And the question is: what has upset Representative Tim Burchett?

What Tim Burchett Says He Saw Behind Closed Doors

Tim Burchett has said that what he has seen regarding UAPs in SCIFs (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities) is disturbing enough to keep someone awake at night. And that statement reframes the entire conversation from curiosity to concern.

This isn’t just about speculation anymore. It’s about what elected officials are being shown behind closed doors, and then what they are willing to say publicly afterward.

In a recent interview, Burchett described the material he had been briefed on as deeply unsettling and argued that the public deserves far greater disclosure. He also suggested that one of the central problems is that even the president may not know the right questions to ask or where to look.

Burchett is suggesting that information he has seen in a SCIF about unidentified anomalous phenomena is so disturbing that it could keep a person awake at night.

And that remark spread throughout mainstream media and the internet. It becomes the launch point for a broader reflection on the congressional UAP investigations, the hidden video evidence, the recent Bob Lazar documentary and his discussion with Joe Rogan, the abduction research, the missing scientists, and the possibility that disclosure may be far more destabilizing than many enthusiasts want to admit.

However, that does not mean disclosure will not happen. Let me make that clear. Everything points to the fact that we are moving swiftly toward a revolutionary event that has the possibility of invoking an ontological shock.

Why Burchett’s Warning Carries More Weight

So the question is: who is Tim Burchett?

He’s not an outsider. He’s a career public servant with more than two decades in government. He’s institutionally embedded, experienced, and politically seasoned. So when someone like him expresses concern, it carries a different kind of credibility.

And that raises the stakes. If someone like this is unsettled by what he has been briefed on, the question becomes: what could he be seeing?

To answer that, we need a little more of a roadmap for the themes we’re going to explore here.

For decades, the UAP story has been treated as a question of sightings, testimony, and unexplained encounters. In his new book, The Disclosure Window: The Astrology of E.T. Disclosure in the Trump Era, William Stickevers goes further by tracing the political, institutional, and historical structures that allowed the subject to remain compartmentalized, while examining the growing pressure now being placed on those structures by Congress, whistleblowers, technological change, and shifting geopolitical realities.

The book also places the current disclosure battle within a larger astrological and civilizational framework, looking at the planetary cycles converging through the late 2020s and what they may signify for secrecy, government authority, advanced technology, and humanity’s understanding of its place in the cosmos. It considers what disclosure could mean once it moves from allegation and partial acknowledgment into a public, structural reality.

A Roadmap for the UAP Disclosure Question

This presentation is structured around six interconnected themes. Each one stands on its own, but together they form a picture that becomes difficult to dismiss. From congressional action to abduction research, from hidden control structures to systemic crisis, we’re building a layered understanding before we go deeper.

  1. Congressional Action
The 46 videos, the April 14 deadline, and the battle for oversight.
  2. Historical Insiders
Presidents, admirals, and senators who were shaken by what they learned.
  3. Abduction Research
What was buried, why it was buried, and what it may mean.
  4. Hidden Control
The architecture of secrecy that operates beyond democratic reach.
  5. Disclosure & Destabilization
Why confirmation of nonhuman intelligence would not necessarily be a celebration, at least initially.
  6. Systemic Crisis
Technology, power, and the trajectory of human civilization.

And we also need to align on some of the key terminology used throughout this discussion before going deeper.

The Key Terms Shaping the Disclosure Debate

Before going deeper, we need to establish some of the key terminology used throughout this discussion:

  • Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP): The U.S. government’s current official term, replacing “UFO.” It covers airborne, transmedium, and submerged objects that are not immediately identifiable and display anomalous behavior.
  • All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO): The U.S. government office responsible for detecting, tracking, and analyzing UAP. It was established by the Pentagon on July 15, 2022. And 2022 happens to be the year of the U.S. Pluto return.
  • Unacknowledged Special Access Program (USAP): A classification level above standard Special Access Programs. These programs do not have to be acknowledged even to officials with the appropriate clearances. Whistleblowers allege that UAP-related programs have operated at this level.
  • Unidentified Submerged Object (USO): A UAP that operates underwater or transitions between air and water. Several of the 46 classified videos requested by Congress reportedly include USO footage near sensitive naval assets, including a U.S. submarine.
  • Senior Congressional Leadership: The eight senior congressional leaders legally required to be briefed on covert programs under the National Security Act of 1947. Whistleblowers allege that UAP programs have bypassed even this requirement.
  • Public Confirmation of UAP Reality: The anticipated moment when the U.S. government formally confirms the existence of nonhuman intelligence or recovered nonhuman technology, something widely anticipated and also widely feared by those who understand its potential structural implications.

How Unacknowledged Programs Can Operate Beyond Oversight

Now, the Unacknowledged Special Access Program category is particularly important when we start talking about disclosure.

This is one of the reasons why Trump may not be briefed on everything. Even though he has the power to request information, if he doesn’t know what to request, he may not know where to look.

So even if he has the appropriate level of clearance, government agencies or elements operating beneath the intelligence complex do not necessarily have to inform the president or the executive office about an unacknowledged program.

Whistleblowers allege that UAP-related programs have operated at this level, meaning even senior officials can be told that a program does not exist.

Can you believe this? A senior official can effectively be told that a program does not exist.

So this is something we need to factor in when we’re talking about disclosure.

The Broader Implications of UAP Disclosure

And when we expand the discussion into USOs, objects operating underwater, it suggests that this phenomenon is not limited to the skies. In fact, we’re now finding that USOs may be much more common than UFOs or UAPs in the air.

At the same time, we’re seeing allegations that even senior congressional leaders have been bypassed. They are now becoming aware that they may have been bypassed, which raises major questions about the law, legal oversight, and compliance.

And finally, we have the concept of public confirmation: the moment when reality shifts from speculation to official acknowledgment.
