This particular instance—the 1561 celestial event over Nuremberg—had been documented by a woodcut created by Hans Glaser. This woodcut depicts red, black, orange, and blue discs, spheres, and cylinders crossing the sky, appearing to fight one another above a large, black, stationary spear-shaped object.
This event, often described as a UFO battle, occurred over Nuremberg, Germany, on April 14th, 1561, at around 4:45 a.m. Witnesses described an aerial battle followed by the appearance of a large black triangular object. This triangular object, by the way, was said to be larger than the city itself at the time. All of this is represented in the woodcut imagery.
According to reports, there were thousands of witnesses. They described hundreds of spheres, cylinders, and other oddly shaped objects moving erratically overhead.
Astrological Timing of the 1561 Nuremberg Event
What really stood out to me, looking at this as an astrologer, was the timing. This event occurred in 1561, right at the height of the Renaissance, when the European Renaissance was emerging in a powerful way.
Astrologically speaking, one of the drivers was a Neptune–Uranus alignment occurring at that same time. In that same year, there was also a Saturn–Pluto alignment. So we had two major configurations happening very close together: a Saturn–Pluto square and a Uranus–Neptune opposition, converging within weeks of each other in 1561.
I found it striking that these two major alignments occurred within such close degrees, during a new moon, precisely when this event took place.
Planetary Alignments and Major UFO Events
That led me to start examining other major events throughout history that have been verified and documented.
What I found was that when major planetary alignments occur very close to one another, there is a strong correspondence with significant UFO events—incidents, abductions, disclosures, and the emergence of government documentation and whistleblowers. So it’s important to keep this in mind as we look at this subject through an astrological worldview.
Archetypes, Astrology, and Human Affair
To quote Richard Tarnas,
“The basic principle of astrology is that the planets have a fundamental, cosmically-based connection to specific archetypal forces or principles that influence human existence, and the patterns formed by the planets in the heavens bear a meaningful correspondence to the patterns of human affairs on Earth. In terms of individuals, the positions of the planets at the time and place of a person’s birth are regarded as corresponding to the basic archetypal patterns of that person’s life and character.”
What I’m suggesting here is that these archetypal forces don’t just influence human existence. They also appear to have a striking correspondence to the ET phenomenon itself, especially in terms of how this phenomenon is influencing, shaping, and informing our civilization.
A Transpersonal View of Archetypal Astrology
My view of astrology in relation to this phenomenon comes from a transpersonal perspective. In this framework, we can substitute the word archetype for planet, or speak of planetary archetypes as organizing principles of both the psyche and the cosmos. This forms the foundation of a transpersonal approach to astrology.
From this perspective, planetary archetypes function as fundamental, living principles that shape both inner experience and outer reality. In the course of history:
- Planetary archetypes are organizing principles of psyche and the cosmos
- Planetary archetypes evolve in their archetypal essence over time
- Planetary archetypes represent the deepest patterns of psychic functioning
- Planetary archetypes determine how reality is perceived, created, interpreted, invested with meaning, and experienced
- Planetary archetypes flood the psyche with raw emotions, images, and somatic sensations
- Planetary archetypes can possess an entire culture, national ethos, or historical epoch
- Planetary archetypes take many forms depending on the level of consciousness of a particular age, era, or epoch
- Planetary archetypes defy any easy form of summary or reductive explanation
Seen this way, planetary archetypes are not static or symbolic abstractions, but dynamic organizing principles that actively shape consciousness, culture, and historical emergence.
And that’s what I’m correlating here—the planetary alignments with specific ET phenomena, and how they act as a modulating factor on consciousness as we transition into a new type of civilization.
Beyond a Mechanistic Worldview
One of the reasons I approach archetypal astrology from a transpersonal worldview is because it assumes that archetypes actively inform both psychic and material reality. Planetary archetypes aren’t passive or inert. They are dynamic, creative, and multivalent. They respond to context and participation, and they constellate events in multiple forms with a kind of dynamic indeterminacy.
From a 21st-century perspective, this archetypal worldview aligns with a broad range of emerging ideas and frameworks, including:
- Pantheism
- Non-naturalism
- Moral relativism
- Cosmic evolution
- Higher consciousness
- Non-traditional concepts of family
- Self-governance
- Global consciousness
- Transpersonal psychology
- Newly discovered realms of the psyche
- Quantum physics
- The holographic universe
- Artificial intelligence
- Transhumanism
- New psychology
- The technological singularity
- Holotropic states of consciousness
- Remote viewing, clairvoyance, and psi phenomena
- A multidimensional universe
- Intelligent design
Most importantly, this transpersonal archetypal worldview allows for—and embraces—the existence of extraterrestrial life and intelligence throughout the cosmos. It is no longer constrained by a purely mechanistic or materialistic worldview that insists astrology must be reduced to statistical proof.
This approach, in my view, is the only way to truly understand the ET phenomenon, the history of disclosure, and its future impact on civilization—both inwardly and outwardly, on a personal and collective level.
The 10 Outer-Planetary Cycles Marking ET Presence and Disclosure
I’m going to focus on the ten planetary cycles formed by the five outer planets. These cycles define the major periods and epochs that mark different chapters of ET presence and disclosure, which began around the early 1940s.
- Neptune–Pluto — 492 years
- Uranus–Neptune — 172 years
- Uranus–Pluto — 127 years
- Saturn–Uranus — 45 years
- Saturn–Neptune — 36 years
- Saturn–Pluto — 33 years
- Jupiter–Saturn — 20 years
- Jupiter–Uranus — 14 years
- Jupiter–Neptune — 13 years
- Jupiter–Pluto — 12 years
These cycles provide the temporal framework for understanding how major archetypal forces unfold across history, shaping collective consciousness, technological development, geopolitical shifts, and the recurring emergence of the ET phenomenon.
The 1940s: Saturn–Uranus and the Earliest U.S. UFO Incidents
Looking at the 1940s, the earliest documentation we have from the highest levels of government corresponds with a Saturn–Uranus alignment. This alignment coincides with what may be the earliest known American UFO crash site, where credible eyewitnesses reported seeing three small, identical non-human beings—six full years before the Roswell incident.
Saturn–Uranus cycles correlate with clashes between collective forces—change versus resistance to change—along with culture wars, generational conflict, and periods of radical innovation paired with a sense of urgency and unrest. From around 1940 to the end of World War II, we see a titanic global struggle unfolding.
This cycle is also associated with massive scientific and engineering breakthroughs driven by government and private enterprise. These efforts, I would argue, are directly tied to the secret space programs that emerged from reverse-engineering initiatives beginning in the 1940s.
So again, the earliest verified, investigated, and documented UFO incidents involving the U.S. government align precisely with the Saturn–Uranus cycle.
The Cape Girardeau Crash of 1941
Now let’s look at the first specific incident. This is the Cape Girardeau case, which occurred on April 12th, 1941. It is considered the earliest reported American UFO crash. The event took place around 8:00 p.m. local time in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Reverend William Guy Huffman, age 52, received an urgent phone call from the Cape Girardeau Police Department requesting his ministerial services at what was described as a terrible accident on a farm between Cape Girardeau and Chaffee, about 16 miles apart. A police officer arrived at Huffman’s home to escort him to the site.
When Reverend Huffman returned later that night, he told his family they could never speak about what he was about to share only once with them. He told them there were three intact little people from another world at the crash site of a silver disc. By “intact,” he meant their tight, shiny, silver, leotard-like suits showed no outer damage. The beings appeared to have died from an inability to breathe.
A man at the scene took photographs, and one of those photos was given to Reverend Huffman. He later showed it to his family and left it with his son, who repeatedly showed it to family members and eventually to his daughter, Charlotte Mann.
Charlotte was not born at the time of the crash, but she spoke publicly many times to researchers about the dozen or so occasions when she saw the photograph growing up.
Documentation, Witnesses, and Government Awareness
This account is detailed in Paul Blake Smith’s 2016 book MO-41: The Bombshell Before Roswell, which focuses on the April 1941 Cape Girardeau crash.
Smith also uncovered evidence suggesting that the three identical beings and the damaged craft were transported to Washington, D.C., possibly to a subterranean location beneath the Capitol. He speculates that the bodies and wreckage were shown to President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Secretary of State Cordell Hull, Army Chief of Staff George Marshall, and Senator Harry S. Truman, who was then heading the Senate committee overseeing national defense programs.
The Astrological Signature of Disclosure
This brings us back to the astrological signature. At the time, we see a powerful outer-planet alignment involving Saturn, Jupiter, and Uranus—a rare and potent configuration. The Saturn–Uranus–Jupiter triple conjunction marks an extremely strong astrological signature corresponding precisely with this incident.
