So, ancient wisdom for modern gamers—that’s really what this is about. While doing the research, I said, “Hey ChatGPT,” and I also went to Grok and a few other AI systems. I used several different AIs to see if they would come up with the same output.
The question I asked was this: taking everything we know about simulation theory, quantum physics, near-death experiences, life-between-lives hypnosis, past-life hypnosis, mystical traditions, and everything related to religion—when you look at the consistent narrative across all of those things, what is ultimately true? What does ancient wisdom tell us about why we’re here and what we’re supposed to be doing?
Basically, they all came up with the same answer.
The Advaita Vedanta Model of Reality
The ancient wisdom framework for the “simulation game” would be what Hindu philosophy calls Advaita Vedanta, which offers a framework that maps powerfully onto the idea of life-as-a-game model. When I say “game,” I don’t mean a digital game—I’m talking about a simulation.
In this framework, the Jiva is the avatar, the physical body.
Maya is the rendering—the illusion. The quantum field creates particles that render the intention of the avatar, producing the illusion of reality.
Then there’s Lila, which means the divine play. The divine play is the action unfolding, the drama unfolding within the simulation.
And Moksha is the logging out. That’s the liberation. From a Hindu perspective, Moksha means you don’t have to reincarnate again. In this context, it’s liberation through awakening—you log out and awaken to your true nature. And that Moksha could actually happen in this lifetime before you physically die.

The Western Equivalent
Then I asked another question. I said, “Okay, now that we know this form of Hindu philosophy, this philosophical system, is there an equivalent in the West?”
All the AIs said yes.
If you take the basis of all of this and express it through a Western framework, you arrive at the Perennial Philosophy, which has existed for thousands of years and traces back to the Greek mystery and wisdom traditions.
The Perennial Philosophy proposes that beneath the doctrinal differences of religions lies a universal truth.
It is the underlying framework of many Western mystery schools. One example people recognize today is the Masonic Order, which historically drew from this same philosophical tradition.
One Light, Many Windows
The Perennial Philosophy is often described with the analogy of one light shining through many stained-glass windows.
The windows represent the different religions and belief systems. The light behind them represents the same underlying divine reality.
Think of light as love, but not romantic love. Think of love as intelligence, consciousness, and self-aware presence. A sentient intelligence that is far greater and far vaster than the human mind.
This light shines through different cultural lenses, producing different spiritual traditions.
So all religions, mystical traditions, and belief systems are connected through this deeper philosophical foundation.
Why Religions Appear Different
The divine source is one, but our personal and cultural lenses shape how we perceive it.
If you’re from India, you may understand it through Hindu philosophy. If you’re Catholic, it may come through the teachings of Jesus. If you’re Buddhist, it comes through the teachings of Buddha.
This is similar to the old story of the blind men touching the elephant. One person feels the trunk and says the elephant is like a snake. Another feels the tail and says it’s like a rope. Another touches the leg and says it’s like a pillar. Everyone believes they understand the truth, but they are only experiencing a part of the whole.
The Perennial Philosophy suggests that all of these perspectives are partial expressions of the same underlying reality.
Living the Philosophy Rather Than Joining a Religion
This doesn’t mean you need to join a new religion. It simply means understanding the underlying philosophy.
Aldous Huxley wrote extensively about this in his book, The Perennial Philosophy. Through study, personal experiences, and psychedelic exploration, he realized that the same core insight appeared across many different traditions.
Living the Perennial Philosophy involves a simple framework of: self-reflection, service, study, compassion, and direct experience of reality. It’s less about doctrine and more about how you live.
A lot of it comes down to simple daily reflection:
- What did I give today?
- How did I contribute?
- Did I express love?
- Was I open to receiving love?
- What small difference can I make tomorrow?
These questions form the practical side of the philosophy.

What Near-Death Experiences Often Reveal
Many people who report near-death experiences describe something interesting. They often move away from rigid religious identities. People who were strongly identified with a particular religion—or even atheism—frequently return with a broader understanding.
They often end up living in a way that aligns closely with the Perennial Philosophy, even if they never call it that.
Historically, people had to enter mystery schools or undergo initiations to access this knowledge. But in reality, this wisdom is something deeper—almost like a built-in spiritual birthright.
A Turning Point in Human Consciousness
The Saturn–Neptune alignment can be viewed symbolically as an initiation point for humanity. A moment where humanity has a choice to move toward a deeper understanding of consciousness and reality.
This doesn’t mean the end of Catholicism, Islam, Judaism, or other religions. Instead, it suggests that humanity may begin recognizing a shared philosophical layer beneath them all.
You may eventually hear someone answer the question “What’s your religion?” by saying: “I’m a perennial philosopher.”
In the United States, the group that probably comes closest to practicing something like this philosophy is the Quakers. Their traditions emphasize direct experience of the divine rather than strict doctrine.
The Threshold Humanity Is Crossing
All of this points toward a broader shift—a convergence of science, spirituality, and consciousness.
The threshold is being crossed.
The gateway is opening.
Consciousness as the foundation of reality is being affirmed.
A revolution in meaning is now underway.
We are divine co-creators.
We are indestructible.
We are immortal consciousness participating in this moment of history.
