One of the reasons I’m optimistic is because we’re seeing a transition from America 2.0 to America 3.0. Even though the index troughs and hits the bottom where we are right now, it begins to rise and continues to increase well into 2043. When the index rises, it correlates with expansion, optimism, upward social mobility, liberty, experimentation, creativity, boom periods for markets, diplomacy, and military détente.
The thing is, we still need to get through this period. We’re not quite out of it yet. We still need to get through the Saturn-Neptune alignment, but there’s a reason I’m bringing this up. Even though we’re in this messy period, what I can say is that 2025 is coming faster than you might think. The election is coming faster than you think. The recession is coming faster than you think. Robotics and AI automation, generative AGI, and liquidity injections into the system are all coming faster than you think.
Pluto’s Ingress into Aquarius
Here’s why we can say this with certainty: if we calculate the time from when the yield curve inverts to when we likely hit a recession, it’s within 110 days. That points to January 24, 2025. And what do we see on that day? A Sun-Pluto conjunction, which is very important because Pluto will fully ingress into Aquarius on November 19, 2024, and remain there until January 2043.
And 2043 happens to be the year that the cyclic index will peak. We’re currently at the bottom, and we won’t fully recover until we get through 2026. But after that, the index rises. So that’s the good news. Pluto will be in Aquarius for the entire time that the index begins its upward phase of the planetary cyclic index. And that will define where the money, technology, focus, interest, and energy will go.
The Fourth Industrial Scientific Revolution
From 2009 to 2032, we’ve been in what’s called the Fourth Industrial Scientific Revolution. This era includes breakthroughs like 4D printing, self-driving vehicles, autonomous robotics, AI, augmented and virtual reality, nanotechnology, cryptocurrency, cloud computing, nuclear fusion, vertical farming, quantum computing, hypersonic aviation, and wireless power. For example, we now have wireless charging for cars like Tesla’s taxi system. So we’re going to see much more of that.
This list, by the way, was actually forecasted back in 2009 during the Saturn-Uranus alignment. That period marked the transition from the Third Industrial Revolution (1965-2008) to the Fourth. Now, with Pluto in Aquarius starting November (2024), we’re entering a new era. It will remain there until 2043 and will correlate with AI systems becoming human-competitive in general tasks. So we’re going to see true artificial intelligence permeate every facet of our lives, driving a drastic societal shift.
Jupiter-Uranus Alignments and Technological Breakthroughs
Earlier this year, during the Jupiter-Uranus alignment on April 20, 2024, Pluto was briefly in Aquarius before retrograding back into Capricorn. Jupiter-Uranus alignments have to do with game-changing, technological breakthroughs. If we look back at similar alignments, such as in 2011, we saw events like the European sovereign debt crisis and the rise of Tesla, Netflix, smartphones, social media, and the iPad. In 1997, it was the rise of the internet.
If you just go back, you can see that these are 14-year technological seeding periods. But this one in particular (2024) is different because Pluto transitioned into Aquarius, which correlates with the rise of artificial intelligence. So artificial general intelligence (AGI) is now being addressed.
The Progression of AGI: Reasoners and Agents
There are five levels to AGI, and AGI basically refers to any machine or system capable of understanding or learning any intellectual task that humans or animals can perform. So we saw that come out very clearly with GPT-4, launched in March 2023, which introduced conversational AI. And GPT-5 (renamed GPT-4o) marked a leap to reasoning AI.
So level two, the reasoners, signifies AI systems that can solve complex problems at a level comparable to humans with doctoral-level education. They can achieve this without relying on external sources, demonstrating a deeper understanding of reasoning capability. One example is OpenAI’s o1 reasoning model, which completed a PhD thesis—work that took the student two years—in just four minutes. So that level two of AGI has been achieved.
Now, we’re moving toward agents, the third of five AGI levels. Agents are AI systems that act autonomously on behalf of users, performing tasks, making decisions, and adapting without human oversight. Imagine assigning an AI to plan, execute, and manage projects with PhD-level expertise. These agents will revolutionize industries like small businesses, project management, customer service, and operational workflows.
So people are going to be buying agents, and you’ll just have to get a license for one or several agents to do the work of entire teams that you would normally hire. So that is coming early 2025. They already have the agents now—they’re just tweaking them.
The Path to the Singularity
And this is all connected to the law of accelerating returns. We’re moving toward the singularity, predicted to occur in 2045—or according to the astrology, in 2043. This event represents the point where machine intelligence surpasses the brainpower of all humans in the world combined.
What we’ve achieved so far with the reasoners already surpasses the average human IQ—which is 100-105—with an IQ of 166. As we approach 2043, the implications of these advancements will become increasingly profound.
That’s why, in terms of investing, we have to start thinking from an exponential pace of change, rather than linear. At first, exponential growth seems to be slower than the rate of linear growth. But once it takes off, there’s this disruptive, chaotic development where everyone is in total amazement.
